Best of Twitter: Archbishop Agobard Takes Down Queen Judith
The Twitter tea is piping hot today! In case you missed it, everyone’s favorite archbishop of Lyon went off on Queen Judith this afternoon and even Ermoldus Nigellus (back from exile at long last?!) found himself in the middle of the fray.
Agobard started with a pretty innocuous thread about his involvement with the rebellious sons of Emperor Louis…
But the shade thrown in his thread confused some...
But shortly afterwards, Ermoldus Nigellus, the poet long exiled to Strasbourg (and maybe looking for a way back into Emperor Louis' good graces), found the tweets and responded with a thread of his own:
